God's Garden is Full of Weeds - Cross Stitch Pattern

I know this probably won't be very popular (especially since it feels kinda religious without the context), but I just knew when The Long Walk, and again when I watched the movie, that I absolutely HAD to make this pattern. It's one of the few that just appeared fully formed in my head, begging to be stitched. If you haven't read or watched The Long Walk, this is an absolutely heartbreaking scene where (spoiler alert, but also the entire premise is that almost all of the main characters have to die) one of my favorite characters dies. He goes out in such an incredible, brutal way, that it really stuck with me.

While I stitched on black, you can very easily switch to white fabric with a white or charcoal grey (like DMC 3799) for the text for a different vibe! I usually try to limit the colors I use for ease of shopping & stitching, but I really wanted a bunch of bright (okay, they're all pretty griege, but bright for me!) to contrast with the words. There's a ton of room to play with the flowers, feel free to reign it back with making all the flowers the same color scheme, or go wild and make each a different color!
