Only Losers Use AI - Cross Stitch Pattern

Generative AI just lies, steals from artists, and will destroy our environment, but instead here are some inspirations for this pattern! The flowers are pulled from the Antique Pattern Library, one of my favorite resources. This is a huge repository of public domain (mostly, they label everything really well) sorted by craft. It's so fun to browse through it for inspiration, but I also get genuinely emotional looking at art that was made over 100 years ago. I wanted to use an old motif to represent that humans have always made art, from cave paintings, to ancient tattoos, to video games & animation. The best part of art isn't the end product, it's the act of creation - of beating your head against the wall until your idea becomes a real thing. It isn't just about gaining skills or enjoyment, but about pushing through the roadblocks & forcing your will into the world.

The fabric is Sloth from the wonderful Witch's Garden Crafts! I knew I wanted to use a hand-dyed fabric for this one, and I love how the acid green makes the purples pop!
